Species and characteristics

A parrot can lay 4 to 8 eggs at a time. The hatching period depends on the size of the bird, with smaller birds taking 10 days to 2 weeks and larger birds taking 3 weeks to a month.
There are about 400 species of parrots that are found all over the world. Buying a parrot will cost Rs 800. The most beautiful parrot is the Alexandrine parrot. The Hyacinth Macaw parrot has the ability to live up to about 100 years, making it a very long-lived bird. Parrots mate once a year.
